Scores of people packed into pubs across South East Cornwall on Wednesday afternoon to watch England battle their way into the final 16 of the World Cup.

Football fans waited with bated breath as the country geared up to face Slovenia, with many schools and businesses making special plans to accommodate the 3pm kick-off.

At Saltash.net Community School around 200 students watched the game live in the main hall, while Callington Community College staff crowded around a screen to watch the match.
