THE mum's who run the 'Wobbly' group (Working on Behalf of Looe Youth), are warning residents not to give any money if someone saying they are collecting on their behalf knocks on their door. The group, who do not collect door to door, have reported to Looe police that a resident at Hannafore was asked for money on the doorstep by a young adult. Treasurer Michaela Powell says they would need a licence for this form of fundraising which they do not have, and advises anyone who is asked for money on behalf of Wobbly in this way should report it to the police. The group, who are hoping to provide the youth of Looe with their own meeting place are in the process of organising a programme of events. A recent coffee morning at the Guildhall raised £127 and they also ran a stall at Morval Vintage Rally.
