RAIL passengers travelling between Cornwall and the capital are being warned of disruption over this Bank Holiday weekend.

As Network Rail continues work on the Elizabeth line, GWR is asking passengers to plan their journeys in advance.

On Saturday, May 5 and Monday, May 7, buses will replace trains between Maidenhead and Hayes and Harlington. Long-distance services will be diverted around the affected area into London Paddington, adding up to an hour and a half to services from Devon and Cornwall.

On May 6, buses will replace trains between Maidenhead and Ealing Broadway with no GWR or Heathrow services into London Paddington. Long-distance services will be diverted to London Marylebone adding up to 90 minutes to journey times from Devon and Cornwall
