Gunner Marc Walsh from Liskeard is one of three Cornish soldiers serving with the 1st Regiment of the Royal Horse Artillery to return safely from a seven-month tour of duty in Iraq. Together with Gunner Aron Wadey from Launceston, and Gunner Phil Eustace from Falmouth, he did his duty in highly dangerous conditions. They were in Iraq together in June when the handover of power took place, and played their part in helping the new Iraq police force to become established. Parents, relatives, friends and many people in Cornwall are proud of their achievements, and wish the British forces still in Iraq the very best of good fortune in the troubled time still ahead.
