THE War Horse Songman will be coming to the Tamar Valley as part of his UK tour and ‘gap year’ from the acclaimed National Theatre production.
Bob Fox played the role of Songman in the West End production of War Horse, based on the First World War battlefields story by Devon author Michael Morpurgo, as well as going on tour with the show in the UK, Ireland and South Africa. Now the singer and guitarist is doing a solo tour before reprising his part on stage in March.
The concert at Calstock Arts on Friday, January 22, will be the chance to hear all the songs from War Horse as well as material used in a recent BBC Radio production Ballad of the Great War.
