Wanless to the rescue
Apologies to Peter Kinver of Wanless in East Looe ('Thanks to Looe wall-builders', July 16) and to Mr Palmer, whose efforts to pass on his congratulations to them went awry when we failed to decipher his handwriting and mangled the name of the well-known local building contractors.
To quote Mr Kinver: 'We often read bad things in the press about builders in general, so it was nice when Mr Palmer spared some of his time to put pen to paper and praise us. It was therefore unfortunate and very annoying that you misspelt our name so badly.'
