Calstock in the 1800s will be revealed when Les Deering, heritage guide for the Tamar Valley area, leads a three-mile guided walk including the historic village centre and the old quays at Lower Kelly.
Les is one of four heritage guides in the area, who completed a nine-week course earlier this year, led by local Blue Badge guide, Chrissie Le Marchant.
The course covered presentation skills, organising and running events, leading guided walks and research techniques. It was organised as part of the Heritage Lottery funded Helping Hands for Heritage project.
The guided walk of Calstock takes place on Saturday, October 8, 11.30am to 1.45pm, meeting at Calstock Railway Station.
There is no charge for the walk, but donations are welcome to the Tamar Valley Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. For further information, contact the AONB office on 01822 835030.
