A call has gone out for the last few volunteers to help ’save the day’ in Looe.

The community led Looe Saves the Day music festival is set to kick off tomorrow (Thursday).

A few volunteers are still needed to act as roadies over the weekend, and to marshal in the Millpool car park.

’I can’t believe that we are just 24 hours away from the beginning of our Looe Saves the Day festival,’ said Edwina Hannaford, local Cornwall Councillor and one of the festival directors.

’Staging a festival of this size usually takes many months and yet we have done it in just three weeks.’

’We could not have done it without the amazing support from the local community,’ added Armand Toms, mayor of Looe and another of the festival directors.

’We have had an incredible response to our initial call for help, with support coming from every part of the town, and beyond.’
