LISKEARD publisher Mike Critchley is visiting Malawi in Southern Africa where he will join wife Lara and daughter Lyn who have been working as volunteers for the last month in a clinic. The Critchleys, who attend the Grace Community Church at Morval, will be joined by a trio of youngsters from the area, including David Williams who was brought up in Liskeard. Many people from other churches have also volunteered their services. The £35,000 clinic, in the Mtunthama region of Malawi, was built through the fundraising efforts of Mac and and Dot Forsyth of Plymouth. It is now supported by churches all over the country which contribute to the £2,000 a month running costs. The clinic helps with diseases such as AIDS, TB, malaria and polio.
