ARMED with a power washer, brooms and plenty of elbow grease, two volunteers have helped to make some rather grimy parts of their town sparkly clean once more.
Local resident Paul Caers joined Councillor Simon Cassidy on two consecutive Sundays in Liskeard town centre.
Many people had commented on the state of the path joining Poundland to Sungirt car park, said Cllr Cassidy, and so that was where the pair began, scrubbing the steps and clearing out some drains along the way.
The following weekend they were back in town, turning their attention this time to the path between Fore Street and the Pipe Well, which can get slippery when wet.
Cllr Cassidy said: “Thanks to the Fat Frog Café for the hot drinks and water and to Mike Caers for the equipment.
“If people want to suggest any other sites in the town that could do with a spruce give me a message and we will look to get some more volunteers and set some more dates to make our town shine.”
