The residents of Liskeard had the opportunity to be involved in not one but two carol services at the weekend.
At St Martin’s church, music was led by Chris and the choir as well as the Liskeard silver band.
Meanwhile at the Wesley Methodist Church, the congregation were invited to paint a Nativity scene whilst the carols were being sung. Mayor Simon Cassidy was among those attending the service in Barn Street. He said: “Huge thanks to everyone who came along to the Carol Service at Liskeard Methodist Church. Special thanks to the Caradon Youth Choir and the Westernairs Liskeard for hiding my singing skills and Rev Andy and Sarah for hosting us. And thanks to my Consort and son Daniel for accompanying me!”
The Methodist Church Christmas tree festival continues until Christmas Eve.
Meanwhile the Liskeard Churches Together Carols in the Car Park event is set to take place this evening (Sunday December 19) in Westbourne Car Park - doors open at 7 for the event to begin at 7.30pm
