Pelynt celebrated its traditional annual village fair on Sunday.
The event had the bustle of the old traditional fairs with children enjoying fairground rides, owl encounters, face painting, hook a duck, children’s fancy dress competition and the Higher Beings Circus Performers. Pelynt Young Farmers arranged a sheaf pitching competition and the show committee, a granite ball throwing competition. Entertainment was provided by Looe Ukulele, Just Voices, Pelynt Male Choir and James Shead. In a traditional way the Peel of the Bells from Pelynt Church signalled the end of a very successful afternoon.
Proceeds raised will be shared between Cornwall Air Ambulance and Macmillan Cancer Support.
