Villagers in Wilcove turned out at the weekend to receive the Best Kept Village award for 2009 sponsored by the Campaign to Protect Rural England (CPRE) Cornwall branch.
Chairman of the CPRE, Tony Hilton, presented a framed certificate, an engraved slate plaque and a cheque for £500 to the village community association chairman and vice-chairman at a ceremony in the centre of Wilcove.
