Temporary traffic lights will be in place on the B3247 between Seaton and Hessenford from today, (August 26), due to subsidence of the carriageway. The subsidence, which was being monitored, has deteriorated to an unsafe level, says Cornwall Council.

The Council will carry out site investigations to look at design options for a future solution to stabilise the side of the carriageway. ’We apologise for any inconvenience caused to the travelling public, but safety is our priority’, said a spokesman.
