TWO sets of healthy quadruplet lambs were born within 24 hours of each other.

Duchy College farm at Stoke Climsland has welcomed the start of spring with the new arrivals.

While twins are relatively common, and staff and students have helped to deliver triplets before, quadruplets are rare.

Student Roxanne Moran said: ‘It is a great experience to be involved with lambing, we all work together as a team and have a lambing duty rota.

‘To see two sets of healthy quads is amazing.’

Farm manager James Coumbe, said: ‘Quadruplets are uncommon but to have two sets so close to together is extremely rare. Both the mums and lambs are all doing well.

‘It’s all go in the lambing shed at the moment.

‘This is a really fun and busy time of year on the farm as everything springs into life.’
