As families across the country get ready to embark on the start of their summer holidays, breakdown cover provider Green Flag predicts that 12 breakdowns every minute are expected to occur over the first week of the school holidays alone.
A total of 11,355 drivers are set to experience issues with their tyres, while 1,683 drivers will experience issues with their braking systems.
A further 839 will be delayed thanks to running out of fuel or misfueling.
A further 12,328 motorists will fall foul of flat or faulty batteries and 6,955 drivers are set to face issues with their engine.
