South East Cornwall stars alongside Dawn French in a new TV drama tonight.

Delicious, on Sky 1 at 9pm, is the result of two month’s filming in the Tamar Valley last summer.

Written by Mr Selfridge’s Dan Sefton and set in the Tamar Valley, Delicious tells the story of passionate cook Gina (Dawn French), who is divorced from chef and hotel owner Leo (Iain Glen), but when Leo’s new wife, Sam (Emilia Fox), suspects he’s having an affair and confides in her, there’s a surprising twist.

Pentillie Castle, near St Mellion, stars as the Penrose Hotel and parts of the gardens and estate also feature including the bathing hut, pond and Saw Mill. Other locations in and around the Tamar Valley included Calstock and the Port Eliot estate.

A spokesman for Pentillie said: ’From what saw, the show will bring a breath of summer sunshine, not to mention beautiful scenery, to a cold winter’s night!’
