Cornwall Trading Standards department has been highlighting further recall information following warnings that some brands of tumbledryer may pose a fire hazard. The recalls come after a series of household blazes involving certain brands of tumbledryer which have been linked to a potential fire risk caused by fluff accumulating in the filter close to the heating element. Jane Tomlinson, from Cornwall’s Public Protection Service, said: ‘We recommend consumer’s sign up to our Cornwall Public Protection Facebook, Twitter @supportcornwall and/or www.cornwall.gov.uk/business/tradingstandards/product-recalls/ for up-to-date information on all aspects of product safety.
