Liskeard School and Community College raised £2,884 over a six day period in support of three causes. The grand total from the Christmas Fayre was £630, while £1,300 was collected for Pink Day breast cancer, and £954 for Children in Need. The Christmas Fayre was very successful, despite being held on an early date. Santa's grotto was highly popular with all callers receiving a present and being granted their wildest wish. Stalls were run by a Year 7 or Year 8 tutor group with most of the items on sale being made and crafted by the students. These included cakes, biscuits, homemade sweets, and Christmas decorations, while massive hampers were also raffled off. Musical entertainment was provided by the school jazz band which consisted of students and staff, both old and new, who blasted away with some wonderful swing, as well as Christmas melodies.
