I AM writing regarding the need for traffic calming in Peppers Park Road, Liskeard.
I have lived in this road near the junction with Charter Way for almost 15 years. The traffic using this junction has dramatically increased in recent years with the advent of more housing development.
Recently there have been major developments by Barratt Homes and now Midas Homes. We have had two serious accidents, both involving the same property on the junction.
The first involved a motorbike demolishing a wall outside this property.
The second involved a car seriously damaging the house itself.
I understand Cornwall Council has no funds at present for this work but when it has, in the new financial year, can road calming plus a 20mph speed limit be implemented as a matter of urgency before someone is killed or seriously injured?
Also the bridge over Lake Lane needs to be built to relieve the heavy volume of traffic using the junction onto Charter Way.
