A fair with many centuries of history in Liskeard will be bringing old traditions and new attractions to the town on Saturday.
Fire eating displays and juggling workshops, a fun gnome contest and children’s entertainment will be complemented by stalls and sideshows on The Parade.
St Matthew’s Fair has been celebrated since 1266, and was revived by the Lions Club in 1976.
This year, the Lions are including all the successful aspects from previous years plus some new activities that they hope to see become firm favourites.
There’ll be stalls and games, children’s entertainment and live music to enjoy, and why not enter a decorated gnome (on a garden theme) to a new competition at the Cattle Market!
Circus skills and demonstrations will be taking place on The Parade - and listen out for the town crier contest.
The event begins officially at 10am, but stalls will be set up from 9am.
