LOOE’S Royal British Legion is planning to commemorate townspeople who served in World War Two.

Members are asking for information, documents and photos relating to the town’s wartime casualties honoured on the Looe war memorial.

The appeal follows a similar project to remember men from the town who served in the First World War, the results of which are now on display.

Details can be left at the Looe Town Council office, or visitors are welcome to RBL meetings on the first Monday of each month in the lower bar of Looe Social Club at 7.30pm.

You’re also welcome to share your stories through the Cornish Times by e-mailing us at [email protected], and we’ll pass on the information.
