JOHN Hallett of Cawsand is the designer of the new official Torpoint Town Council logo.
A competition was launched last year to find a new design to be featured on the town’s website and correspondence.
John, who trained at Plymouth College of Art, came up with a logo including a Cornish flag, hands of friendship, and rope links to signify the strong maritime history of the town and its ferry.
His design was chosen as the favourite by a panel of judges from among 28 entries.
The logo has now been adopted by Torpoint Town Council and John is pictured receiving his prize of an iPad from Mayor of Torpoint Lambert Keise and deputy mayor Chris Goodman.
