THE Saltash Foodbank is now open for business and able to supply food parcels to those in need.

The vital organisation has been able to open an outlet in the town thanks to the generosity of the community and the team at the Screwfix trade counter in Plymouth, which donated equipment.

The foodbank has also been flooded with generous donations.

Joe Kolinsky, Saltash Foodbank joint project co-ordinator, said: 'We are tremendously grateful for the support that we have received. Food poverty can be devastating for individuals and families.'
