CALLINGTON Amateur Radio Society will be setting up at the town's heritage centre later this month to make contact with as many other museums throughout the world as it can. As part of the International Museum Event 2008, the team of broadcasters will communicate with people from around the globe. The museums, which have taken part in the event for many years, have included presentations on ships, castles, forts and pumping stations. This year there are already museums registered from as far afield as Queensland, Australia. The event takes place on the weekend of June 21 -22, between 10am-4pm each day.
