The proposed 50 per cent increase in the Tamar Bridge and Torpoint Ferry tolls is being supported by Torpoint Town Council.

There was resounding support from councillors at the town's full council meeting.

The support from Torpoint for the proposed rises is in stark contrast to the reaction from Liskeard, Looe and Saltash Town Councils which have all backed campaigns against any increases.
