Jewellery business has relocated

A jewellery business has relocated from Whitsand Bay to Millbrook.

Ocean Tide Jewellery, run by Jane Theobald and Mike Taylor, has opened a workshop and showroom in The Parade.

Jane, a mother of three, had been making jewellery in a garden shed at their home at Tregonhawke Cliff before the move.

The business, now in its fourth year, produces jewellery inspired by the local coastal environment. Examples include a scallop necklace and bracelet, a sea pod brooch and a mussels necklace and earrings.

Mike, who deals with the administration, said: "We have exhibited at many venues, the most notable being the Chelsea Craft Fair and The Clothes Show Live.

"Ocean Tide Jewellery is shown throughout the summer at Trelissick and Trelowarren, two estates owned by the Duchy of Cornwall. As a result, we have had commissions from the Queens Gallery at Buckingham Palace.

"Our press reviews have been many and widespread from the fashion pages of the Daily Telegraph to a Red Magazine fashion shoot in the Caribbean.

"We supply many of the finest galleries in the country as well as major retailers such as the John Lewis Partnership.

"All designs are unique, every piece is handmade and sterling silver is used throughout."
