The sixteenth Torpoint Pool League finals and presentation night was held at the 200 club - this season's league was sponsored by Gold Star soft drinks.
The night was a great success with nearly all of the twelve participating teams turning out in force. MC for the evening was once again league secretary Trevor Endean.
He commenced by introducing the doubles final between 200 club A players Dean Notman and Karl Davies, who were up against Pete Jones and Andy Spurrell of the Wilcove Hotshots - Andy standing in for James Sampson who was in hospital and therefore unable to participate.
Both teams battled hard for the title but Dean and Karl came out on top by 3 games to 1.
Next came the singles final between Ian Canty of the Kings A and Dean Notman of the 200 club A. Both players came on to the sound of Tina Turner's 'Simply the Best,' but it was Dean who once again came out victorious.
Winners for the season were: League Champions - Wilcove Warriors, 2nd - King Pins, Knockout Cup Winners - 200 club A, 2nd - Wilcove Warriors.
Doubles Cup Winners - M.O.F., 2nd Kingpins, Supreme Champion - John West of the M.O.F., Captains Cup Winner - Ron Stones of Carbeile C, 2nd - Mark Lee of 200 club B, Ladies Winner Gail Carroll of Carbeile B, 2nd Sue Thornley of Carbeile C.
