Torpoint came within ten minutes of reaching the semi-final stage of the cup before crashing out of the competition in extra time. The hosts started in a positive manner and dominated most of the first half.
Their pressure was rewarded with some good build-up play from Hayley Chamberlain and Mandi McCann, who set up Paula Pearce for a great looping shot over the goalkeeper. Falmouth came out with more determination in the second half and pressed for the equaliser. Despite this Torpoint caused the Falmouth defence some concerns, with opportunities falling to Hayley Chamberlain, Kirsty Lambert and Paula Pearce.
