CORNWALL College Saltash have huge cause for celebrations after all six of the students enrolled on the Beauty Therapy course passed their CIDESCO exams with full marks. Aimee Cole, Samantha Garbutt, Ria Hooper, Nikki Stephenson, Claire Banbury and Danielle Harding sat their 'Committee International D'Esthetique et de Cosmetologi' exams earlier this month and are said to have been 'very pleased' with the results. The exams took place over two days, and involved both theory and pracitcal elements, as well as requiring students to present an 8,000 word thesis. Annette Luscombe, Beauty and Complementary Therapy curriculum manager, said: 'CIDESCO is an international qualification that is recognised in more than 50 different countries. It is the 'creme de la creme' in Beauty Therapy. 'The students have worked incredibly hard and deserve this prestigious qualification.' With their CIDESCO qualifications under their belts, the students are open to explore many different avenues of beauty-related work, including managing a salon on a cruise ship or training as a representative for an international company.
