A shout has gone out for volunteers to help transform a new storage space for Torpoint’s Tigers Youth Rugby Club. The club has obtained a 20ft container for storing equipment and a working bee is planned for the weekend of June 25 and 26. Chairman Robbie Ryder is appealing for an artist to create a mural on the container ‘in keeping with the spirit of rugby’. The club has been awarded a grant for shelving for the inside of the container and is hoping that lots of people will come along during the June weekend to help brighten up the space and make it useable. ‘Please bring along your old rollers, paint brushes, any old enamel paint, paint trays, white spirit – and smiles!’ said Mr Ryder. ‘Let’s make this community weekend a great one.’ Anyone who can help should email chairman.torpoint [email protected]
