AN allotment holder is calling for the authorities to get tough on vandals who have damaged gardens in Callington on a frequent basis. Patrick Gordon, who owns an allotment near Haye Road, was left fuming last week after his and other people's property was damaged. 'It may sound trivial, but it is a pain that these youngsters have nothing better to do than to smash up people's property,' he said. 'The allotment is one of my only pastimes. I don't think these thugs consider the consequences of their actions. It makes me very very angry.'
