Knitted doughnuts and a wooly wireless are among the items to appear in shop windows as a town gears up for its popular annual wool market.
Local residents are now used to seeing Liskeard’s railings and posts wrapped in colourful woven designs.
Visitors to the town may be more puzzled by the colourful crochet all around the town centre.
But the yarn-bombing is now a regular fixture as the 3 Bags Full group prepare for Saturday’s craft market in the Public Hall from 12 noon - 5pm.
A series of workshops will start on October 7.
3 Bags Full spokesperson Rachel Brooks, who is also Liskeard’s mayor, said: ‘3 Bags Full raises money for the mental health charity Mind, and following requests last year, anyone who wants to show their appreciation for the yarn bombing can contribute to collection boxes in some participating shops and cafes.’
During the market there will be meals from the Real Junk Food Project, relaxing live music and a children’s craft corner.
‘As well as enabling locals and visitors to enjoy the woolly creativity, we hope to raise even more money for Mind this year,’ Rachel continued.
’They provide crucial support for people experiencing a mental health problem.’
