A woman and two men arrested in a drugs raid on a property in Saltash last Friday evening have been bailed pending further inquiries

A Misuse of Drugs Act warrant was executed at 7pm in the River View area of the town by various police resources including a drugs search dog, officers from the Force Support Group at Bodmin Police Station, Neighbourhood Officers from Saltash and Liskeard police station and an officer from the Special Constabulary.

A large-scale search was conducted at the address, and a nearby motor car, a large quantity of cash, drugs, mobile phones and a computer was seized.

A woman aged 45 and two men aged 35 and 25 were arrested at the scene for possession of a controlled drug with the intent to supply. All three were taken to Launceston Police Station and on Saturday morning all three were interviewed by detectives before being bailed.

Sergeant Chris Chilcott said: 'The local Neighbourhood team has listened to the local community and worked hard to build up an intelligent picture in relation to the drug activity in the town.

'The community and police will not tolerate drug dealing in Saltash and will continue to obtain Misuse of Drugs Act Search Warrants from the courts.

'My team will also work closely with the Local Housing Officers who will deal robustly with any breaches of tenancy agreements.'
