LOOE Lions carnival week ended on a high note on Saturday with the biggest carnival for some time.
Large crowds packed into the town centre on a sunny evening to soak up the atmosphere.
Lions' spokesperson Roger Lane said the whole week had been a wonderful success and around £2,500 had been raised for local charities.
'We cannot thank all the volunteers enough who helped out in many different ways throughout, and all the people who came along to various events,' he said.
The carnival procession was led from Hannafore in West Looe, down over the bridge into East Looe and around the town by St Pinnock Band and the Lions carnival princess, 10-year-old Jaye Underhill, and her attendants Alexandra Jackson and Millie Foster.
Also in the procession were Kernow Samba Band and the Plymouth Pipe Band along with majorettes.
The best entry overall was judged to be the Sheila's School of Dancing float, while among the popular entries was Her Majesty The Queen accompanied by James Bond, straight from London 2012, Looe Sea Scouts Wild West and Looe U3As Geriatric Olympiad.
