A Liskeard woman had a 'mixed experience' after being chosen as one of just 2,400 people in the UK to stand on the fourth plinth in London's Trafalgar Square.

Margie Tunbridge, an education psychologist, was selected at random from more than 27,000 applicants to take part in artist Antony Gormley's One and Other project.

But her hour-long stint was marred by the abusive crowd in Trafalgar Square, when she took her place at 2am on Sunday, surrounded by London's night clubbers.
