Can you help us discover the story behind the biggest changeover in the history of British money.
Channel 4 is making a documentary all about the second British D-Day: 15 February 1971 - the day Britain went decimal. This film will be a look at the politics, personalities, and everyday impact of a national event which affected all our lives.
Were you a 'Decimal Dolly', charged with helping the public understand the new system on D-Day? Were you a local shopkeeper so perplexed by the new system that you still accepted the old money? Or were you in charge of a large shop which had to employ extra staff to help customers?
Were you in a group who opposed or supported the money change? Or do you simply have a good memory or a funny story about Decimalisation Day?n If you think you can help us, or know someone who can, then please call Andrew Easterbrook on 0207 284 2020, and I will call you straight back; or write to
