May I, through your letters page thank all the pirates, businessmen and wenches who have brought fun to the streets of Looe on Tuesdays during the summer.

I know they are very popular with the visitors, but as a resident I am always cheered by the sight of them as I walk past their "den" outside the Cancer Research Campaign shop.

And shopping is much less of a chore when served by a jolly pirate or wench. Thank you all for the time and effort you have put into making Looe so interesting and friendly.
