Mother and son Sue and Tom Horler from Pensilva and Saltash completed the Jurassic Coast Challenge, a 100km walk over two days.
They were part of a seven-person team known as the Lifton Self Preservation Society who raise funds for Cornwall Motor Neurone Disease Association (MNDA).
Their walk started at 7.50am in Poole on the Saturday. They had a gruelling 57km ahead of them in blistering heat. Their target was to finish the day at Weymouth that evening – but in reality they reached Weymouth at 2.15am on Sunday.
Undaunted, they managed one-and-a-half hours sleep before setting off on the second day at 6.30am, a 43km trek to Bridport.
The team, Sue Horler, Tom Horler, Emma Durrant, Martin Vanstone, Polly Arscott, Paddy James and Ryan Christophers eventually reached the finish line at 8.45pm to be greeted by their support team Shirley Vanstone and Nick Horler along with family and friends.
The walk has raised more than £5,000 in memory of Jeremy Durrant for the Cornwall branch of MNDA.
