Cornwall and Devon League
THIS was very much an end of season, knowing that relegation is unavoidable, sort of performance from Liskeard/Looe at Tavistock and saw a runaway victory for the home side. With nothing left in the season, the level of commitment was perhaps reduced and a good Tavistock side ran in seven tries in the first half, with a reply by Bob Bettison, converted by James Macarthy. In the second half, Tavistock scored another five tries and five conversions. This was Liskeard/Looe's final league game of the season and they will be playing in Cornwall Two next season. On the plus side of things, there are very good young players coming through in all areas. They will without doubt become very important in the rebuilding of Liskeard/Looe as a force in South West rugby. They have the ability and next season could be very exciting.
