Defending East Cornwall Premier League champions Torpoint Athletic face a difficult start to the new season with three of their first matches away from home. They kick off at Lanreath tomorrow, followed by visits to Bodmin Town and Launceston. Torpoint took maximum points from last season's corresponding fixtures and will be looking for a repeat performance in their bid to make it four titles in a row.

Torpoint manager Ricky Cardew is delighted to see five of last season's charges vying for first team places. 

He has recruited Edgcumbe central defender Tom Hall, Dan Johns from Plymstock United and Gareth Jones from Plymouth Parkway.

'Pre-season has been good. We've worked hard and brought on some young players,' he said
