The 4th Annual Polperro New Year’s Day Dip is taking place from the beach area of Polperro at 12 noon on New Year’s Day.

St Piran's Day: Bodmin's celebrations prove worthy of the important occasionSupported by The Blue Peter Inn and Rosina’s Vintage Gifts - it is raising money for the RNLI through a £5 registration on the day. Registration is from 11.30am at the top of the beach steps in the outer harbour. There will also be ’bucket shaking’ for the Air Ambulance.
This year hardy swimmers (and non-swimmers) can ’double dip’ by going in off Polperro beach at 12 noon after the Looe ’dip’ at 11am .
Polperro Dip spokesman Steve Dourass said: ‘This is a great way to raise funds for good causes and have some fun whilst clearing the head after the previous night.’
Dippers get a complimentary hot drink after the plunge as well as the chance to win a meal for two at the Blue Peter Inn.
