More than £3,300 was raised by swimmers who took part in the British Heart Foundation 2016 Swimathon in Liskeard.
The sum of £2,679.19 was raised for the BHF, while other causes benefited to the tune of £705.76.
An awards presentation evening was held at Lux Park Leisure Centre, and mayor Jane Pascoe, who took part herself, congratulated everybody on raising such a terrific total.
The Allsorts team swam the most lengths and St Cleer Primary School was the school that raised the most money (£511).
The mayor was delighted when she realised the trophy for the individual team raising the most money was going to Liskeard Town Council (£311).
Eight-year-old Ben Whell won the award for the youngest swimmer.
Awards for those individually raising more than £100 were presented to Alfie Steed (St Cleer), Isaac Cole (Liskeard Cubs), and Paul and Jane Pascoe.
