STUDENTS from Callington Community College will be showing a play set for a national competition tonight. The group of students from year 10 will show Red Sky by Bryony Lavery at 7pm in the college's main hall. The play will be the group's entry in the National Theatre's Connections festival. Started in 1993, the festival every year commissions a new group of 60-minute scripts for teenage actors to perform across the country. An example of each play is chosen to be performed at the National Theatre in July, on the Cottesloe and Olivier stages. Tickets for tonight's performances cost £4 for adults and £2 for children and senior citizens.
