AN online newspaper has been launched by 12 school children. The Liskeard School and Community College entrepreneurs, aged 12 and 13, entered a competition with other schools from Devon and Cornwall to produce a business product. The group was given £250 to help kick start their enterprise. The pupils then decided how the money would be spent and how they would see their ideas through. The group has now been entered into a final with other schools to be held at the Eden Project on Monday, where an award will be given to the most- successful product. The students from Liskeard came up with an idea to set up an online paper and are aiming to fund the project by selling advertising space to pupils. 'The students have taken responsibility for six different departments of the paper,' said Liskeard School and Community College teacher Gary Smith. 'They are an ambitious group with some great ideas and, with the help of an IT expert from Business Link, they've managed to get the newspaper up and running in an electronic format.'
