Dobwalls' rich view of form continued against lowly St Columb with their biggest win of the season.
St Columb got off to a bad start arriving at Lantoom Park with an almost identical strip to the home side and having to wear their shirts inside out to avoid a colour clash. They soon found themselves being turned inside out by a rampant Dobwalls side that had seige to their goal from the off. Matt Lindsay opened the scoring in the eighth minute, rifling home Phil Benney's diagonal cross.
Two minutes later it was Lindsay again bursting through the St Columb defence to make it 2-0. Kane Wilson made it three pouncing on a loose ball after the St Columb keeper had bravely saved at the feet of Lindsay. Within a minute Wilson scored his second and Dobwalls fourth goal of the game. Straight front he re-start Dobwalls regained possession, Shane Ruark laid the ball off to Adam Nance on the right who advanced on goal and finished with an exquisite lob over the visiting keeper. Before the 20 minute mark Shane Ruark's powerful running took him through the St Columb defence whereby he duly blasted home to make it 6-0.
Wilson made it 7-0 three minutes later shortly followed by goal number eight when St Columb only half cleared a corner and centre back Mark Dustin hit a pile driver into the corner of the net. Three further goals from Wilson, Lindsay and Ruark saw Dobwalls reach half time 11 goals to the good without reply.
With the game and points secured the second half became somewhat of a non event with St Columb pulling one goal back with a well struck free kick and Dobwalls adding further to their tally with another two goals from Wilson and one more from Lindsay. This win puts Dobwalls top of their league and on this form look a good bet to take the title.
