DESPITE doubts at lunchtime whether there would be enough wind to sail last weekend, a strong breeze hit Looe Bay early in the afternoon to give the fleet the best sailing conditions of the season so far.

The Enterprise fleet, in particular, experienced their closest racing for a long time, with plenty of positional changes and capsizes making for an excellant afternoon.

Tim Jackman led in the early stages, only to be overhauled by the eventual winners, his elder brother David and Steve Sargent.
