STAFF at Boots in Looe donated an hour's wages on Thursday in support of the tsunami appeal. The 12 participating staff hope that their contribution to the disaster fund will bring the total collected in the store to more than £800. Boots have put collection buckets in their store since New Year and are delighted with the generous donations from customers. Store manager, Mrs Katie Berriman, said: 'We are a relatively small store, so it shows that people in Looe sympathise with what has happened. 'There has been a fantastic response from staff and customers who just wanted to do something to support the disaster fund.'
