Organisers of Cancer Research UK’s Race for Life are calling on the people of Cornwall to pick a date and event to help beat cancer.

This year, for the first time, Cancer Research UK is inviting everyone – women, men and children – to join the Race for Life.

There are three Race for Life events to choose from in the county - including the much-loved 5k events, as well as Pretty Muddy 5k and Pretty Muddy Kids.

Every day, 90 people are diagnosed with cancer in the South West. That’s why the charity is urging local residents to choose the event for them and join right now. Events will take place in Falmouth on Sunday 12 May, Penzance on Wednesday 5 June, Truro on Sunday 7 July and Stithians Showground on Sunday 8 September.
