The auction at Killigarth Manor, to raise funds for the Harbour Lights Trust, is turning into a star studded occasion.
Not only are Talland Bay residents, ITV's popular This Morning couple, Richard Madeley and Judy Finnigan hosting the event, with Richard agreeing to wield the gavel, but many of the gifts for auction have famous name tags.
Up for grabs will be a special This Morning make over live on air, and it will be a virtual field day for soccer fans as there will be footballs signed by the players of Premier Division Clubs Chelsea and Leeds, a shirt signed by Leyton Orient FC and a Talking Book autographed by Newcastle's Alan Shearer. There will also be CD's signed by famous performers.
The list for auction which is growing daily also has a Breirling Fighter's Flying Jacket, a shark fishing trip for six, Moet and Chandon Champagne 2000, £50 travel voucher, a one week Cornish holiday and many more items.
The auction begins at 7pm and catalogues will be available on the door. There will also be a disco, entertainment and a raffle. Anyone who would like to donate an item for the auction or raffle is asked to leave it for collection at The Crumplehorn Inn, Polperro, as soon as possible.
The Trust has been set up to celebrate the life of Polperro fisherman Daniel Kebble who died in January. The funds are to help local fishermen with the purchase of safety equipment.
